CAKES

Well, I made it through a couple weeks of a terrible end of summer cold and a child with a broken arm. Now it is back to cooking. Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend!
There seems to have been a wave of cupcake and cake orders lately. Although, I enjoy the creativity of cakes, I wouldn't say it is a talent that come naturally to me. It certainly wasn't a skill that we spent a great deal of time on in pastry school. I think making cakes is a practiced skill. Unfortunately, I probably don't practice it enough.
