Seeing Red..Washington Nationals Baseball

The end of baseball season was a month ago but I am just getting around to posting these pictures. These beautiful cupcakes are the creation of my youngest son. When he asked me to make cupcakes for the end of season party, he was very clear what he wanted. Cupcakes with lots of frosting and Oreo cookies. Well, how can I refuse a request like that! These towering cupcakes were enjoyed by the Washington National Team 7-8 year olds. They had a exciting season!

About Magpies

Magpies is a baking business who specializes in sweet and savory pies and tarts using local and seasonal produce. The idea is that we bake differently each time using the best produce. We are lucky enough to live/work in the Suisun Valley (near Napa) where we have access to a variety of fruit and vegetables for most of the year.
